LONG

STORY SHORT

Moved to LONDON >

CURRENTLY >

My Design journey started when I was 15.

My Dad wanted me to do Spanish so I could read menus on holiday but I said no and now

I can say my passion is my day job. (Learnt enough Duolingo in lockdown to get by anyway).

Went to uni in Preston, which is where I truly started to

become a Designer (and mastered  the art of survival).

Did an 'sandwich' gap year, interning locally to get a taste of the real world before going back for my final year to graduate.

Packed up my life and moved to London and started a job at the dating app Badoo within

3 days. It was a leap and was the definition of champagne lifestyle, lemonade budget.

Planned to stay 3 months, moved home finally after 5 years.

Spent most my time there working (and laughing till my sides hurt) at Ministry of Sound.

Climbing from Junior to Creative Lead, dipping between Club promotions, Fitness socials

and Members club collateral. Fingers in every pie, one could say.

Came home, Freelanced and learnt more about taxes than I did anything else. Got a job

with TRIB3 International, Franchising HIIT Workouts globally and found my love for looking

after myself but learnt start-ups can be risky.

Now I work for JD Sports, doing my bit to transform and

create stores globally and keep pushing what I know and keep learning.

JD SPORTS

Jumping head first into a different kind of role than I've been used to, testing my skillset and growing the weapons in my arsenal. Creating Shopfront sketches, to propose their feasibility to the board and CEO. Designing Elevations, to help the retail team sell their stores to landlords and assist them getting stores across the line. Working with Retail Designers to design the best shopfronts, deciding on the famous JD yellow illumination, external signage such as our JD logo, URLs, King of Trainers slogan and more. Checking construction drawings and stage 2's to support and help deliver the stores to the best quality standard. Travelling to on site meetings for Shopfront, Snag, De Snag to quality control the artwork we deliver. Working with JD Foundation charities to help boost their brands, to help them achieve the incredible work they do and push it to further success. Working with Design Managers and Retail Managers, to review what we have in store and look at how we can push the limits of what is achievable with the kit artwork, working together to enhance the JD shopping experience. Working with Senior Managers to create inspiring spaces to help our people team showcase what JD is, from Retail and Health and Safety to our own brands and Merchandising. To show young people 'working for JD' doesn't just mean in store, giving an inside look into the JD Sports Machine.

WHERE I AM NOW

Kirsty Angove

CHIEF MARKETING OFFICE (MY MANAGER AT TRIB3 INTERNATIONAL)

Hannah is both a natural leader and a hugely talented designer.

In her role as Creative and Graphic Design Manager she acts as both a studio manager and an Art Director, coordinating the design briefs, concepting campaign masters and apportioning and supervising work amongst the design team.

She creates affinity easily with people with her warm personality and empathic approach.

But is also prepared to fight for a great idea or concept (usually with fantastic results yielded!)

She has demonstrated time and time again her high level of organisation, managing projects across five global territories as well as launch campaigns for a further seven onboarded by the TRIB3 brand.

She is truly a phenomenal designer and creator.

I could not recommend her highly enough.
